Take off the distributor cap and rotor. Undo the screws and Ignition Control Module. To install, coat the new Ignition Control Module with the lubricant. Install the Ignition Control Module, and retain it in place. Finally, connect the harness to the Ignition Control Module and install the distributor cap and the rotor.

The removal of the distributor from the engine is not necessary for the replacement of the Ignition Control Module. Take off the distributor cap and rotor first. Such grease cools down heat.
