First, to remove as well as fix the front suspension components on Deville, Eldorado, Fleetwood and Seville models lift up the car after which you support it. After that, remove the wheel and tire assembly followed by the hub and bearing assembly. Next, using a separator tool to separate it from the steering knuckle, remove the cotter pin and nut from the tie rod end. Then using a ball joint separator tool to separate it from the steering knuckle; remove the cotter pin and nut from the ball joint stud. Should need be disconnect anti-lock brake wheel speed sensor. Remove the strut-to-steering knuckle bolts and take off the steering knuckle. When installing place it in position and apply strut-to-steering knuckle bolts with 140 ft.lbs tightening power. If necessary reconnect anti-lock brake wheel speed sensor. Connect ball joint to steering knuckle together with installation castellated nut. Tighten nuts basing on recommended torque for each model of vehicle used in this case new cotter pins are re-installed, after fastening tie rod ends to steering knuckles by 35 ft lbs tightenings; install new cotters pins. Last but not least install hub & bearing assembly along with wheel & tire assembly then lower down vehicle .and check front wheel alignment.
