    Q:
How do I remove rear Wheel Hub for Buick LaCrosse? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the hub and bearing assembly at the back of a model more than 2009, first of all slacken off the lug nuts at the rear wheel and block the front ones. Then raise vehicle rear-end and secure it with jackstands. Before doing so, take off both rear wheels and brake disc. After that, disconnect wire harness of wheel speed sensor if there is an ABS-equipped car. Lastly, unscrew for hub mounting bolts and detach from knuckle as well. For installation purposes, reverse what was removed, ensuring to correctly install the hub/bearing assembly in preparation for ABS wheel speed sensor if available. Finally tighten up new hub/bearing mounting bolts to specified torque values. Adjust parking brake; install tire using lug nuts; lower vehicle; then finally tighten lug nuts to specified torque values (if provided). However, it should be noted that for models made on or after 2010, it will be slightly different from this as stated hereunder: Loosen rear wheel lug nuts while drive axle/hub nut is left untightened on AWD models only. Jack up rear part of vehicle high enough above ground level before setting it down on jackstands so that you would no longer need tires anymore. Put blocks in front of the wheels to prevent rolling while removing a wheel on this side only (if applicable) because without which it might be dangerous since there could still have been some motion out from underneath each one them unless another precautionary measure such as those mentioned above were taken into account beforehand! On AWD models only if they are equipped with remove rear drive axle/hub nut too subsequently along removal also abs look like disc will fall over at last even though this depends upon whether somebody's own specifications/guidelines differ further about . If RPO GNC type of suspension is equipped by model then upper control arms have to come away accordingly." Incidentally ,Coil spring must be removed when this type of suspension does exist on it (advanced car thought without pointing out for example how complex that design has been made). Detach hub and bearing assembly from knuckle by taking out bolts. In case of AWD models, guide drive axle stub shaft from its splines within it's hub so that can be removed when stuck using rubber mallet hit into place with brass hammer or puller if necessary until release . The hub/bearing bolts are tightened as per the same torques in which they were loosened off while removing them earlier. On AWD models, tighten the drive axle/hub nut to specified torque values only; and lastly, mount caliper mounting bracket as well as caliper mounting bolts then wheel lug nuts must be fitted prior lowering down a vehicle whose lug nuts also will just get tightened at certain predetermined levels.

    Q:
How do you remove the rear Wheel Hub on Chevrolet Malibu? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the hub and bearing assembly, start by loosening the rear wheel lug nuts and, on AWD models, the rear driveaxle/hub nut. Then, raise the rear of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands, removing the wheel and blocking the front wheels to prevent rolling. Next, remove the brake disc, followed by the upper control arm (for 2015 or earlier models or 2016 Malibu Limited), and the ABS wheel speed sensor. Finally, detach the hub and bearing assembly from the knuckle, guiding the driveaxle out of the hub splines for AWD models. To install, reverse the removal steps, ensuring to tighten the hub and bearing bolts, caliper mounting bracket bolts, and caliper mounting bolts to the correct torque specifications. For AWD models, tighten the driveaxle/hub nut to the proper torque specifications. Finish by installing the wheel and lug nuts, lowering the vehicle, and tightening the lug nuts to the proper torque specification.

For 2007 and later models, clean the hub mounting bolt threads and holes and apply new high-strength thread-locking compound during installation. On AWD models, install a new driveaxle/hub nut and tighten it securely. Finally, install the brake drum or disc and the wheel, lower the vehicle, and tighten the lug nuts to the specified torque.
