    Q:
How do you remove and install the upper and lower control arms? Posted by Customer
    A:
Begin by loosening the front wheel nuts and lift the front of the vehicle using jack stands to remove the upper control arm. If there is need, support the lower control arm on a jack or jackstand while disconnecting wheel speed sensor harness bracket from it. The upper balljoint joint must be released from the steering knuckle, and then undo all bolts and nuts that hold control arm to frame noting down, if any shims were used for alignment purposes. It has been left off from the vehicle anyway. Position this one on a frame and replace bolts/nuts that were installed previously along with those shims removed during disassembly in order to prevent damaging other suspension parts which are connected through these joints. Tighten those nuts onto specified torque values. Push a balljoint stud into steering knuckle while pulling out a cotter pin that secures nut around it; afterwards put new one in place before tightening same as per specification provided for this purpose leaving no slackness at all between fastener elements because their play could lead to premature failure of connections involved here; finally just tighten enough not overly tight but without any foreplay either! Put on wheels and lugnuts, low jack stand so as have wheels gently touch ground surface before applying necessary force till they become immobile; then retighten up yet again according data given by manufacturer regarding grade employed every time during assembling process including when installing Any mechanic shop should take care of having your car's re-alignment test done in case you do own an automobile rather than trying such things yourself which might cause more harms than good especially when dealing with delicate components like those found underneath bonnet plus other external surfaces like bumper area too.

What is the procedure for removing and installing lower control arms on the 1992 Cadillac Fleetwood? Posted by Customer
    A:
The lower control arm removal involves disconnecting the stabilizer bar and shock absorber, removing inner lower control arm nuts and bolts, and safely lowering the control arm to relieve spring pressure. The lower control arm is then reinstalled with proper spring orientation, and all nuts and bolts are tightened to specified torque values.
