    How do you replace the antenna on Cadillac Fleetwood? Posted by Customer

    To replace the antenna on 1990-93 Deville and Fleetwood models, first connect the negative battery cable, turn the keys to the position where the horn sounds , pull back the trunk liner and open the trunk. Take off the antenna upper nut and bezel and and take the tablet out the antenna bracket bolts. Pull off the wiring connector from the relay, unscrew the antenna cable and take out the antenna assembly as well. To perform installation of this device, locate the antenna assembly and connect the antenna cable; install the antenna bracket bolts, the antenna bezel and the upper nut last. Screw on the wiring connector to the relay, rearrange the trunk liner and connect the negative terminal of the battery. For other models, and for 1994-98 Deville, starting procedure is the same, but in addition one should disconnect the negative battery cable and open the trunk to remove the right-hand sound insulating panel. Unplug the antenna cable and wiring connector from relay and if any remove the ground strap of body from relay. For 1990-91 vehicles, there is an: Using a proper tool, un-screw the above fender Antenna mounting nut while being very careful not to strip the nut or mar the paint work. Loosen the nut of the mounting bracket to the wheel well weld flange and pull the antenna assembly out. To removal, for 1990-91 vehicles, remove the top mounting nut above the fender, and for all other vehicles remove the nut through the mounting bracket to the wheel well and then remove the antenna assembly. In case there is a ground strap reconnect it, screw the wiring connector to be connected to the antenna relay, connect the antenna cable, place the sound insulating panel back to its position, reconnect the negative battery terminator.
