How do you remove the steering column?

To remove the steering column, begin by parking the vehicle with the wheels pointing straight ahead and disconnecting the battery. Remove the steering wheel and column covers. Disconnect the airbag clockspring electrical connectors and the airbag electrical connectors from the instrument panel harness. Use a screwdriver to release the clockspring and slide it from the steering column. Pry the bezel from the lock cylinder and remove the multi-function switches.
