How to replace the external fuel filter on Saturn Vue?

The fuel filter is external only for the 2002 and 2003 models, whilst all other models have filters internal to the fuel tank. To start with, with the help of a jack, lift the vehicle to a predetermined height and support it on jack stands. Secondly, it is advisable to remove the cable from negative terminal of the battery. Release fuel system pressure and then they detached the fuel filter-clamp screw and weakened the clamp existing to the left side of the fuel tank. It is recommended to lay some rags or a drain pan under the filter; the three quick-connect fuel lines must be disconnected, and then the filter can be removed. Removal is done by reversing the installation process and there is need to inspect fuel leaks prior to running of the engine.
