Saturn LS1 Radiator fan

The Saturn LS1 vehicles' Radiator Fan is essential in controlling the correct temperature to keep the engines running through necessary airflow to the radiator. This assembly usually comes empowered with a fan blade, a mounting shroud, and a motor and it can either be a mechanical one or an electrical one. Mechanical fans are connected to the water pump shaft and electric fans with the help of the 12V motor depend on the coolant temperature and A/C settings. Both types make sure that the airflow in the radiator is just right so that it does not overheat, electric fans having the benefit of being able to regulate temperature better. In summary, the Radiator Fan Assembly is used in Saturn LS1 vehicles to cool the engine when the vehicle is at low speed or is still.

  • Q: How to remove and install the cooling fans on Saturn LS1?
A: These vehicles are equipped with a puller fan and a pusher fan. They are regulated by a fan control module and the PCM. They are protected by Radiator fan #1 and Radiator fan #2 fuses.
