Saturn LS Fuel Rail Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove and replace fuel injectors and Fuel Rail in Saturn LS and LS1?
A: To replace the fuel injectors, first relieve the fuel system pressure and disconnect the negative battery cable. For four-cylinder models, remove the air intake duct and disconnect the vacuum line from the fuel pressure regulator. Disconnect the EVAP canister purge hose, coolant hose, and PCV hose. Remove the engine wiring harness cover and disconnect the fuel supply and return lines from the fuel rail, along with the electrical connectors from the fuel injectors. Remove the fuel rail mounting nuts and the entire fuel rail with injectors as a single assembly. Carefully inspect each injector hole and ensure no O-rings remain inside. Remove the retainer securing each injector to the fuel rail and pull out the injectors. Discard the old O-rings and install new ones on the injectors before reassembly.
