A: To remove the instrument cluster, first disconnect the battery cable and remove the driver's airbag module and steering wheel. Then remove the glove box assembly and passenger airbag module electrical connector, instrument cluster bezel, center trim panels, heater, and air conditioning controls, Steering Column Covers, Center Console, front door scuff plates, kick panels, left and right air vents, and left and right trim pieces. The upper instrument cluster must be removed first by releasing clips and claw tabs and disconnecting any electrical connectors or harness clips. Then disconnect and remove the release handle for the hood and separate the diagnostic connector under the left edge of the instrument cluster. Pry up the plastic pins securing the vent ducts and remove the lower instrument cluster by removing all fasteners. To remove the cowl reinforcement beam, disconnect the electrical connectors at the steering column and remove the bolts securing the column to the beam. Remove bolts holding braces from the tube to other components and the two bolts holding the beam into the body saddles at either end. Installation for both components is the reverse of removal.
