Q: What are the checks to be done on the seat belt system?
A: Thoroughly inspect the seat belts, buckles, latch plates and guide loops in order to detect any striking damages or signs of wearing out. Ensure that the seat belt reminder light illuminates when the key is switched to either Run or Start position and a chime also sounds. Seat belts are meant to lock up during sudden stops or crashes but can be freely moved while driving normally. If while you are driving the retractors don't bring back the belt against your chest or rewind it fully after unlatching the buckle; then this is a problem. Purchase spare parts if any faults detected above are found in our safety belts.
