A: To remove the steering wheel, park the vehicle with the wheels straight ahead and disconnect the battery. Disable the airbag system and remove the upper steering column cover. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the airbag module. Note the index mark on the steering wheel hub and shaft, then remove the steering wheel nut and lift the wheel off the shaft. If necessary, disconnect the electrical connector for the control switches and remove the clock spring. When you are installing the clock spring, make sure the clock spring is centered.
