How do you remove and replace the antenna on Pontiac G6?

On most 2008 and later models, the antenna is mounted to the right quarter panel. To remove it, open the trunk and take off the right trim panel, detach the antenna bracket from the panel, and turn the antenna counterclockwise. Installation follows the reverse order of removal. For models from 2005 through 2007, the antenna is an integral part of the rear window, so replacing the antenna requires replacing the entire rear window. In models with a roof-mounted antenna for XM satellite radio, the antenna is located on the roof, and replacing it necessitates removing the headliner and, in vehicles with side-curtain airbags, the side-curtain airbag modules. It is advisable to have this type of antenna replaced by a dealer service department or a qualified repair shop.
