Pontiac Fiero Heater Core

The Heater Core in Pontiac Fiero vehicles is a very important part since it is responsible in getting warm air into the passenger cabin using heat that is in excess in the system. Shaped somewhat like a miniature radiator, the Heater Core is cooled by a solution of water and anti-freeze circulating close to the motor; air from the vehicle's fan passes through the Heater Core removing heat and dissipating it in the car's interior. An essential feature of different types of Heater Cores, whether they are made of aluminum or brass, can be recommended temperatures in the form of valves or doors. In conditioned Fiero models, the Heater Core also has an additional function of dehumidification and it also can be an auxiliary cooler for the engine. However, problems such as blockage, spring leak, and rust are some of the frequent challenges that may call for costly apparatus repair since the probability of disassembling the product is very high.

Each OEM Pontiac Fiero Heater Core we offer is competitively priced and comes with the assurance of the manufacturer's warranty for the part. Furthermore, we guarantee the speedy delivery of your orders right to your doorstep. Our hassle-free return policy is also in place for your peace of mind.

Pontiac Fiero Heater Core Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How do you replace the heater core?
A: To replace the heater core, begin by draining the cooling system. Disconnect the electrical connector and fluid tube from the windshield washer reservoir and remove the reservoir. This will allow access to the lower heater hose clamp. Loosen the inlet and outlet heater hose clamps and remove both hoses from the inlet and outlet pipes. Inside the vehicle, remove the heater core access cover. Remove the heater core retaining bracket bolts and the bracket itself. Pull out the old heater core from the heater module and install the new one. Secure the retaining bracket and install the heater core access cover, ensuring that the spring retaining clip is properly seated against the core. Slip the heater hoses onto the pipes of the new heater core and tighten the hose clamps securely.
