  • Q: How do you remove the trailing arm and track bar?
    A: To remove the trailing arm, start by loosening the rear wheel lug nuts and raising the rear of the vehicle with jackstands. Support the rear axle with a floor jack and detach the leveling sensor link if necessary. Remove the nuts, washers, and bolts from each end of the trailing arm. Check the bushings for any signs of deterioration and replace them if needed. For installation, raise the rear axle to simulate normal ride height with a floor jack and tighten the fasteners to the specified torque. For the track bar removal, raise the rear of the vehicle with jackstands and remove the nuts/bolts from each end of the bar. Check the bushings for any signs of deterioration and replace them if necessary. Take the bar and the bushings to a qualified repair facility to have the old ones pressed out and the new ones pressed in. For installation, raise the rear axle to simulate normal ride height with a floor jack and tighten the fasteners to the specified torque.
