Chevrolet Trailblazer Steering Column Cover Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to remove and install Steering Column Cover on Chevrolet Trailblazer?
A: This must be done precisely as stated, this order should not be interchanged in anyway as it may end up damaging the covers. Start by disconnecting the steering wheel and thereby also pulling the steering wheel tilt lever off the column. While the driver is sitting in the driver's seat of NS-25, lower the left side of the closeout cover far enough to pull out the left snap but ensure that the trim cover does not come down. Do the same thing on the right side of the closeout cover so that it divests its snap mechanism. Starting from SD side, delicately turning the forward cover to the right so as to release the rest of the four snap buttons. If the lower cover has a pair of screws on the underside, these should be taken out. First of all, you should try to detach the lower cover from the upper one extremely carefully and taking it into consideration, remove the lower cover. If there is a screw in upper trim cover at the top remove it. Last of all, remove the upper and closeout covers from the steering column, and to reinstall it, undo the above process and if any of the screws used where at snap location, then replace them.
