Remove if applicable a starter motor heat shield respectively and separate starter control cable and battery cable from starter motor solenoid terminals. On V8 models take off transmission cover, finally unscrew the mounting bolts of a starting engine. To install a new starter, just reverse the order of these steps ensuring that bolts are tightened according to specifications for torque.
