  • Q: How do you remove the A/C Condenser?
    A: To remove the air conditioning system, start by discharging the system and disconnecting the battery cable. Then, disconnect the refrigerant line fittings from the condenser and cap them to prevent dirt and moisture from entering. Remove the upper Radiator shroud and radiator, as well as the screws holding the vertical plastic panels and upper insulator brackets. Finally, pull the condenser out of the vehicle. For installation, reverse the removal steps and use new R-134a-compatible o-rings on the refrigerant line fittings. If a new condenser is installed, add 1 oz. of new refrigerant oil. After installation, have the system evacuated, recharged, and leak tested.
