How do you remove and install the axle shaft oil seal on Chevrolet Nova?

Twist the old oil seal out of the end of the axle housing with a large screwdriver end of the shaft as a lever; the axleshaft oil seal may be extracted together with the end of the axle. Push a large socket into the seal and tap it into position with the lips inside and the metal face showing from the end of the axle housing. The face of the oil seal should butt against the end of the housing and the lips of the seal should be coated with gear oil. The steps that have been given earlier are followed to install the axle shaft.
