Chevrolet HHR automobiles utilize the Water Pump to pump coolant in the engines water jacket to remove heat produced in the process of combustion. This process entails circulation of coolant from the engine to the radiator, where heat is freed of through to the environment. Conventional Malawi Traction water pump is driven from the crankshaft by a belt but the modern tendencies include electric water pumps with their benefits like low parasitic loss and variable flow dependant on temperature of the engine. Earlier Chevrolet HHR models have used cast iron water pumps while some more recent models have used aluminium water pumps because of their light weight. There are also performance water pumps with improved impellers and passages for greater coolant flow rates for both street and race use. These pumps can either be mechanical or electrical, with the electrical ones being easily instalable and efficient.
