How to remove and install the steering knuckle and front Wheel Hub on Chevrolet Express?

First, the front wheel lug nuts should be unscrewed slightly, and then the car should be lifted from the front, and the front wheels put on jackstands, then the wheel should be fully unbolted. Place the car in the lower control arm on the floor jack, raise it a little bit and make sure the jack stays in this position during all operations. Remove the nut on the tie-rod end to the steering knuckle then separate it, also for the models up to 2002 remove the brake disc for later models remover the hub and bearing assembly and the splash shield. On all vehicles up to the end of 2001, remove the steering knuckle seal and the splash guard. Subsequently, the upper and lower balljoints must be disconnected from the steering knuckle and the steering knuckle must be removed. Removal is done in reverse sequence and after installation of new components such as the balljoint and tie rod end fasteners and hub and bearing assembly bolts for the 2003 and later models the torque values are tightened in an anticlockwise sequence especially the caliper mounting bolts and the wheel lug nuts. For the cars till 2002 the front hub and bearing is an integral part of the brake disc, and the process of its removal and servicing is described in the section. Take the same procedure as done on the initial steps of the description on the 2003 and the later model, loosen the front wheel lug nuts, raise the vehicle, and removing the wheel followed by the removal of brake disc. Last of all, extract all the bolts that hold the hub and bearing assembly to the steering knuckle, then make sure that the process of installation is done in the reverse sequence to the removal process and tighten all bolts as per the torque specifications.
