Q: How to remove and install windshield wiper motors and rear wiper motors?
A: The nuts on the wiper arms have to be removed and the position of the wiper arms marked. Remove both wiper arms. Get rid of plastic cowl cover. Disconnect the electrical connector from the wiper motor. The three windshield wiper motor, link assembly can be seen in picture 2 mounting bolts should be unbolted and remove the wiper motor, and link assembly. Using a screwdriver, you can pull up on the link rod which will cause it to come off of the pivot pin on the crank arm of the motor. Crank arm is removed by removing this nut which secures it to the shaft of a motor. Mark relationship between crank arm and motor shaft and then remove crank arm. Motor is taken out of mounting bracket after removing two bolts that hold it in place. Installation is reverse order of removal. In 2009 and earlier models, take off the trim cap then remove wiper arm nut by unscrewing it as shown in Picture 1. Trim cover can be rotated upwards to access nut that's why rotate cover with anti-clockwise movement until nut gets free then get down when it is planned to take off nut from threaded part on this joint; this process requires less than one minute instead of time consuming removal process because otherwise would need extra effort being applied especially if someone used simple tools such as fingers alone without any other tool whatsoever; therefore simply move counter-clockwise while turning wrench handle towards left direction before turning clockwise again once more till fully loosen nuts while at same time pushing downward against them during their release outwards thereby facilitating easy unfastening process without any difficulties associated with either tooling techniques or complex devices since just holding tight enough so as keep everything held firmly together even though still allowing maximum rotation possible without causing any accidental slip-ups whatsoever about undoing anything further beyond reach until all connections get finally released completely at their ends after which neither additional fastening nor loosening would be required from somebody; thus, no additional undoing shall follow except if there were no further need whatsoever caused due lack of proper release mechanisms such as unscrewing screws manually by hand using pliers because otherwise could result into complete destruction even before any attempts being made towards removing it off completely while still holding firmly enough until everything gets loose but without causing unintentional slippages during operation since one has got enough force applied upon them at same time pressing down on these nuts making sure they remain tight all times throughout process regardless anything else except that one needs both their free hands working together in parallel connection like never before! There is a mark where the rear wiper arm was on the motor shaft, which indicates that it should be removed. Remove the trim panel from the rear hatch. Unplug the electrical connector on the motor. The rear wiper motor and bracket are unbolted by taking out its mounting bolts. Installation is reversal of removal.
