Access to the power antenna motor is through the inner fender panel; raise the vehicle and remove the front tire for better access if necessary. Remove the fender skirt attaching screws and pull down on the rear edge of the skirt, using a piece of 2x4-inch lumber as a spacer to keep the skirt pulled away while working. Remove the escutcheon nut at the fender, disconnect the electrical leads, and remove the antenna and motor assembly through the fender skirt opening. When installing a new unit, ensure that the mast is fully retracted and the lower bracket attachment is secured by the fender skirt attaching screw.
