Chevrolet Colorado Fuel Pressure Regulator

The Fuel Pressure Regulator in the car is important for amounting consistency in the fuel pressure of the Chevrolet COLORADO with electronic fuel injector. It is usually installed on the fuel rail and runs by a spring and diaphragm assembly. While connected to the engine vacuum and the fuel return line the regulator is capable of regulating fuel delivery with reference to engine needs; at idle it lets excess fuel return to the tank while limiting fuel delivery when more is required during accelerations. Different models of Colorado have incorporated different Fuel Pressure Regulators such as the adjustable regulators for after market systems and the static regulators for return less systems. The main difference is that OEM regulators are static and which may not be suitable for upgrades of the engine and on the other hand the regulators can be adjusted so as to get the right air fuel ratio. These regulators are intended for a variety of fuel system applications so performance is not an issue.
