Chevrolet Cobalt Radiator fan

Chevrolet Cobalt Radiator Fan is one of the essential parts of the automobile that maintain the temperature of the engine providing required air to the radiator. This assembly can either be the mechanical type or the electrical type, although the electrical type seems to dominate the market especially in the current models. Mechanical fans are usually mounted directly on the shaft of the water pump, and the electric fans are operated with 12V electric motor controlled by the coolant temperature and air conditioning signals. The fan assembly works in a way that it continues to run only when all the coolant temperatures are safe for the cylinders and in proportion to the air temperature and engine requirements. Altogether, the Radiator Fan Assembly in Chevrolet Cobalt vehicles is a very important component of the automobile as it helps to regulate the operation of the engine and avoid such problems as car overheating.

Each OEM Chevrolet Cobalt Radiator fan we offer is competitively priced and comes with the assurance of the manufacturer's warranty for the part. Furthermore, we guarantee the speedy delivery of your orders right to your doorstep. Our hassle-free return policy is also in place for your peace of mind.

Chevrolet Cobalt Radiator fan Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: What is the information provided about the fans in Chevrolet Cobalt,HHR,Saturn ION and Pontiac G5?
A: There is a single fan mounted on the Radiator side of the radiator and the speed and duration are regulated by a fan control module and the PCM. The fans are protected by fuses located in the engine compartment fuse/relay box. The PCM can run the fans at Low or High speeds. If the fan is not coming on, test the fan motor and if it does not work, replace it. If the motor works but the fan is still not working, the relay may be defective. Check the fuses for continuity, and if they are okay, inspect the wiring, connections, ECT sensor, and fan control module. For removal and installation of the fan, disconnect the fan motor harness connectors, raise the vehicle and support it on jackstands, the under-vehicle splash shield should be removed, and the fan assembly should be released from the radiator and lowered out from the bottom of the vehicle.
