How do you remove and install a door window regulator on Chevrolet Caprice?

Remove the door trim panel and water deflector, then raise the window completely and prop it in position by inserting two rubber wedges between the glass and the door panel. Mark the position of the cam attaching bolts and remove the regulator bolts. For electrically-operated regulators, disconnect the wiring harness. Slide the front regulator upper arm from the sash and then slide the rear lift arm forward from the sash cam. Next, slide the regulator rearward and withdraw it through the lower rear access hole. Installation is a reversal of removal.
