How do you remove the power steering pump on Chevrolet Camaro?

Before removing the pump, lay some cloths over the AC compressor to avoid power steering fluid from dropping in it. Loosen the cable of the negative terminal of the battery, take off the engine cover, air filter housing and the air intake dual/resonator. Recommended to utilize a large syringe or suction gun and get all the power steering fluid out of the fluid reservoir as possible; the drain pan should also be placed near the vehicle in order to catch the drops of the fluid which can come out in the process of disconnection of the hoses. Then, take off the drive belt, if the vehicle is equipped with electrical connector at the power steering pump, then disconnect it and cut off the supply and pressure hoses from the pump. Screw out the pulley of the power steering pump with a pulley removal tool and take out the power steering pump and the bracket for V6 models taking care to notice that of the three bolts used one is at the front side while the other two are from the side. Following that, undo the pump to bracket bolts at the back part of the pump so that the pump can be pulled from the bracket. For installation, reverse the above stated removal procedure, make sure that the mounting bolts are tightened in the sequence and to the right torque. Crank the engine and allow the fluid to come to operating temperatures, then top off the power steering reservoir with the fluid of your choice and bleed the power steering hydraulic system.
