A: Inside the car, unfasten the trim panel to get to wires attached to the two screws which are behind the hood latch handle; and having taken out the retaining screws of the handle with a Phillips screwdriver, the handle detaches. Loss of hood latch cable is done in compartment; pry the cable grommet out of the clip and pry the clip back, lift the cable up. Take a piece of string or thin wire; insert it through the other end of the cable into the passenger compartment and tie it tightly after it is passed through into the engine compartment then using the string or thin wire connect it to the new cable and pull it back to the engine compartment.
