Remove the fuel tank, then disconnect both evaporative (EVAP) vent line and fuel tank vent line fitting as well as two quick-connect fittings on the fuel supply line from the mounting flange of the fuel pump/fuel level sensor. With water pump pliers, rotate off a lock ring of a fuel pump/fuel level sensor using care not to damage a float arm and a float of a fuel level. After checking o-ring it may be necessary to replace one before installing a new pump.
