Q: How do you remove a radio, door speaker, and tweeter from Chevrolet Avalanche,Silverado,Suburban,Tahoe,GMC Sierra,Yukon,Yukon Denali and Yukon XL?
A: Remove the car radio by starting with removing the heater and air conditioning control assembly then the center trim panel. After that, take off four screws that hold radio in place and pull out the radio from dashboard while unhooking electrical connectors and antenna cables at rear side of the radio. To remove a door speaker, detach the door trim panel and unscrew speaker mounting screw before pulling it out of the socket and unplugging its wiring connection. When installing a speaker, ensure that lower mounting flange aligns with lower edge of speaker mounting hole in the door. Remove a tweeter by taking away its A-pillar trim panel and unplug tweeter electrical connector to it. Grasp tightly onto a tweeter grille to pull off both grille and tweeter as one unit, then carefully separate our small tool from three retainers which enables us to split tweeters apart from grilles using their large sizes. Reinstallation is just opposite to removal procedure for all components.
