Q: How to remove and install a Control Arm Bushing on a Cadillac ElDorado and Fleetwood?
A: Take out the Control Arm on your car. For this, tap down the flare with a punch and hammer. To fix the parts together insert bolt, washer and bearing assembly J-21474-19 or equivalent through bushing driver J-21474-13 or equivalent so that the small end faces the bushing. Place flaring tool J-23915 or equivalent with small flare facing the bushing. Install nut J-21474-18 and tighten it until a 45° flare is obtained making sure that bushing is secure in control arm. Reinstall control arm on vehicle. Remove lower control arms for Eldorado and Seville models too. Locate control arm in press, use tools (J -35561-1) & (J -35561-2) equivalents included. Press out Control Arm Bushing. Lubricate new bushings with suitable rubber lubricant during installation processes of these components . Have Tools (J -35561-1), (J -35561-2), (J -35561-3) at hand while positioning your new Control Arm and Bushing in Press to aid pressing-in of the new Control Arm Bushing for this car model only. Reassemble everything back to normal state as before including reinstalling old damaged Control Arm again.
