  Q: How to remove and install Clutch Disc and Pressure Plate on Cadillac CTS?

  A: Simplified access to the clutch parts is done by pulling out the transmission but leaving the engine mounted on the car. It is also about time to check on the clutch during the process of removing the engine for a big overhaul for it may also be worn out and will need some replacements. On inspection, there are likely to be some cracks or other defects on the flywheel and thus get it machined flat and smooth. Chech and the thickness of lining of the clutch disc as well as any signs of wear and tear, that is if the lining is less than 1/16-inch above the heads of the rivets.
