The Piston in Buick Regal automobile is an interior combustion chamber engine part that turns power from combustion into the energy that moves vehicles. This is done through the conversion of force exerted by gases, which are expanding, to the crank shaft, Cui et al, (2014). Generally, Buick Regal pistons are made from aluminium alloys because they are light and strong; some racing car Buick Regal pistons may use forged or billet manufacturing process. Various types of piston has been used in Buick Regal vehicles, these include trunk pistons for petrol and diesel engines which encase side forces and have rings for oiling. Also, it is applied as slipper pistons in the high-speed petrol engines to provide engine balance, and increased performance. Different designs of Buick Regal pistons are performed to fit into the needs of specific performance to enhance durability of the pistons and functionality of the engines.
