  Q: How do you remove the master cylinder?

  A: To remove the brake master cylinder, disconnect the electrical connector from the brake fluid level switch and remove the nuts attaching the brake master cylinder to the power booster and carefully pull the brake master cylinder out of the engine compartment. To install the new brake master cylinder, bench bleed it first by attaching bleeder tubes to the outlet ports and filling the reservoir with brake fluid. Slowly push the pistons into the brake master cylinder to expel air, repeating until no more air bubbles are present. Remove the bleed tubes and install plugs in the open ports. Install a new seal into the groove of the brake master cylinder and then mount it over the studs on the power Brake Booster. Fill the reservoir with fluid and bleed the brake master cylinder and brake system.
